Role Overview:

As an Estimator at JJ Builders, you will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase, providing accurate cost estimates for potential projects.

Your attention to detail and analytical skills will contribute to the successful planning and execution of our construction endeavors.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Assessment: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to understand the scope and requirements of potential projects. Conduct thorough site assessments to gather essential information.

2. Cost Estimation: Utilize industry-standard methods and software to prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates. Consider factors such as materials, labor, equipment, and overhead to provide realistic project budgets.

3. Bid Preparation: Prepare detailed bids and proposals for submission to clients. Ensure that all aspects of the estimate are transparent, well-documented, and align with the company’s pricing strategies.

4. Supplier and Contractor Coordination: Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes for materials and services. Build and maintain relationships to secure favorable pricing and terms.

5. Budget Management: Monitor project budgets throughout the pre-construction phase, providing insights and recommendations to ensure alignment with financial goals.

6. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and construction methods. Contribute to the improvement of estimating processes and methodologies within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and building codes.
• Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Excel.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
