Role Overview:

As a CDL Driver at JJ Builders, you will play a vital role in our construction operations by transporting materials, equipment, and personnel to and from job sites safely and efficiently.

Your expertise in operating commercial vehicles with a CDL license will ensure that our construction projects proceed smoothly and on schedule.

Responsibilities:

1. Safe Operation of Commercial Vehicles: Drive and operate commercial vehicles, such as dump trucks, flatbed trucks, and tractor-trailers, in compliance with all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards.

2. Material and Equipment Transport: Transport construction materials, equipment, tools, and supplies to and from job sites, ensuring timely delivery and efficient logistics coordination.

3. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition. Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.

4. Load Securing: Safely load and unload materials and equipment onto trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement to prevent shifting or damage during transit.

5. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation. Complete and submit required reports and paperwork in a timely manner.

6. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe driving practices. Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with appropriate endorsements (e.g., Class A or Class B).
• Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents.
• Experience operating commercial vehicles, preferably in the construction or transportation industry.
• Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety requirements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
